- Quality is combined metric that looks at average read length and Q20% score. The graph on the right is an example. In 2017, Eurofins Genomics scored >10% higher than the next best alternative, based on the average Q20 score. Our quality could make a difference in your research.
- Turnaround time is measured by the time between when samples are submitted to when data is received. We already offer the fastest nationwide turnaround time with overnight sequencing, and we plan to improve the turnaround time on the west coast by opening this local lab.
- Experience is a combined metric that looks at convenience, support, and the online order process.

Please note that quality depends on several factors, such as sample, primer, and prep/purification, and your current provider may have spent months developing a protocol that works for your samples. We are willing to do the same and are confident that our quality will exceed theirs in the long haul. however keep this in mind when submitting samples the first time, before we personalize a protocol.

3. Fast, Free Submission
Eurofins Genomics offers a wide variety of solutions for submitting your samples free of charge, with rapid delivery of both the samples and results.
We offer local pickup of samples at UCSD, UCSF, UC Davis, and UCLA. More information is found on the next tab. If the dropboxes are not near you lab, you can always request a box or submit samples using our UPS shipping labels.
The most common format for submitting samples is our free shipping labels, which can come in the form of (1) a digital label, which are printed during checkout, or (2) a physical label, which are ordered beforehand, depending on your location and other factors. The easy way to check which option you fall under is to look for a box during checkout for printing digital shipping labels. If that option does not appear, you can opt for option 2.

The University of California receives extremely competitive pricing. However, the pricing varies since there are so many different campuses and locations. Sequencing can range between $2.50/rxn for plates or $3.50/rxn for tubes. Custom DNA oligos pricing is as low as $0.07 on smaller scales.
